Proof of concept
See it working on your data before you build
A proof of concept is a working demo built on a sample of your own data. Its job is to prove or disprove one idea before you spend money on development.
What's in scope
One idea, tested properly
-
One opportunity
Usually the top of your discovery shortlist, so the effort goes where the return is.
-
A working demo
Something you can see and try, built on your real data, not a slide.
-
A plain-English report
What worked, what didn't, the running costs at your volumes, and the risks and limits.
Success criteria
Agreed up front, measured on your data
Before we start, we agree what success looks like and how we'll measure it. For example: how many documents are read correctly, how many drafts are usable with light edits, or how long a task takes compared with today.
The decision rests on those numbers, measured on your data.
Your data
How we handle your data
We work on a sample of your real data, anonymised, and keep it to the minimum that proves the point. We agree exactly what's needed before we start.
You decide where it goes. Before we start, we agree which AI services will process it, where, and how long we keep it. If your data needs to stay on your own servers, the AI models can run there too.
How it runs
From one idea to a clear answer
We agree the price and timings with you before we start, so you know what you're spending before anything is built.
-
Agree the question
We pick one opportunity, usually the top of your discovery shortlist, and agree what success looks like and how we'll measure it.
-
Gather a sample
We agree the smallest sample of your data that can answer the question, how it's anonymised and where it's processed.
-
Build and test
We build a working demo on that sample and test it against the success criteria.
-
Decide with the numbers
You get the demo and a plain-English report: what worked, what didn't, the running costs at your volumes, and our recommendation.
What happens next
Build it, or walk away knowing why
If the proof of concept holds up, we build it, or hand it to your team or supplier. If it doesn't, you've spent little and you know why.
